Upcoming 5/16, the Korea Football team’s final will be released. The event will be held in the KT Gwanghwamun building west of Onmadang. It will be a fan engagement event which will be on a large scale. It has become the second time to hold big events since the 2018 Russia World Cup. After the announcement, a K-pop celebration performance is prepared. Also, there are cheering zones for Korea and many other fan participation events. Official Partnership Nike has prepared a Run to Roar event which is running through Gwanghwamun, wearing a national team kit. The Korea Football Association is planning to increase contact with other countries through SNS events and pop-up stores.

In particular, there will be no kick-off meeting regarding Korea being the first country to start the group stage. It has become the first time since the 1986 World cup without a kick off meeting which shows resolution for the World Cup. Instead of kick off, the Korea Football team will move on to Incheon International Airport to go to Salt lake city for base camp. Korea is allocated in group A with Mexico, Czechia, and South Africa. Unlike the previous World Cup, the number of participating country increased 32 to 48 teams. 48 nations will be divided into 12 groups and 32 teams will advance to the next stage. Korea will play a game in sequence with Czechia on June 12th, Mexico on June 19th, and South Africa on June 26th.
