Brazil’s Road to World Cup With Ancelotti

A few weeks ago, The Brazilian football national team had their squad selection for the international friendlies against France and Croatia announced by their manager Carlo Ancelotti. The squad selection had very important players like Neymar,and Rodrygo out of the list, which left many many fans furious and upset. These players will have another chance to get selected for the squad on the next squad selection on May 16, 2026. for the upcoming world cup from June 11 to July 19. For the international friendlies, Brazil would be playing against strong nations like France and Croatia.
In the first game against France, Brazil had an overall of more shots on target than France, but France had a little bit more ball possession than Brazil in the game. The game ended in 2-1 for France, 1 goal from Kylian Mbappe, and another one from Hugo Ekitike. Meanwhile in Brazil’s side, Gleison Bremer scored the only goal for Brazil in the last few minutes of the game. In the second friendly against Croatia, Brazil ended up winning 3-1. Brazil scored the first goal at the end of the first half, and in the 84th minute of the game, Croatia ended up scoring a goal to make the score equal. Brazil didn’t have much time left to score a goal and win the game, but they still managed to score 2 goals at the very end of the game, one in the 88th and another one in the 90th minute.
The results of the games gave Brazil more confidence for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Brazil showed great persistence, especially in the game against Croatia, where they scored two late goals to secure the win. In the game against France, Brazil actually showed a very great performance throughout the game, but France’s strong squad was pretty much unstoppable. France had great attackers like Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, and Hugo Ekitike. Meanwhile Brazil had important players like Neymar, and Rodrygo left out of the squad because of their injuries, but they still had strong attackers in the squad like Vinicius Jr, and Raphinha.
