Eventually, Samsung Lions came back to take the lead. In the top of the 9th inning, Samsung Lions loaded the bases with a hit, a walk, and hit by pitch. Moreover, Choi Hyoung woo and Lee Hae seung’s base on balls, finally made it 6-5. Samsung Lions closer Kim Jae Yoon’s pitch closed out the game which led to Samsung Lions 4 wins in a row. However, Hanwha Eagles fell into a losing streak.

After the game, Hanwha Eagles head coach Kim Kyung Moon said that he had never seen a game with 18 free passes. He also mentioned that Kim Seo-hyun’s performance was too inconsistent. Therefore, he stated that foreign pitcher Jack Cushing will be used as the closing pitcher.
