Recently in South Korea, Korean construction companies launched to ‘target’ Vietnamese marketplaces. Daewoo E&C Chairman Jung Won-ju and GS E&C CEO Huh Yoon-hong were elected as economic delegates to visit Vietnam to proceed with their economic strategy. Pursuant to their formal visit, official business cooperations were made between two nations.

The specific area South Korea and Vietnam are placing an emphasis on is the ‘data center.’ With Vietnam’s pursuit of expanding its data center for its economic shift, South Korea planned to build a cooperative relationship with the nation. According to the field of work on March 24, 2026, Daewoo E&C contracted to collaborate in developing Vietnam’s IT infrastructure with SaigonTel. Further actions were identified to proceed in Vietnam, such as areas including investment business.

Daewoo E&C, a renowned construction company that leads a number of projects in South Korea, is perceiving Vietnamese marketplaces as an excellent opportunity to foster its international development activities and cooperation. Jung Won-ju, chairman of Daewoo E&C, attended the completion ceremony of the ‘B3CC1 Mixed-use Development Project’ to fully support his unfolding initiative to construct complexes.

Currently, the international relationship between South Korea and Vietnam as to its partnership in investment and development sectors is substantially favorable, and their strategies are anticipated to result in significant outcomes. As workers of Daewoo E&C mentioned that the company is currently on a track to construct a ‘smart city’ with high-quality business shops and educational infrastructure, the company revealed its potential to debut in diverse sectors.
