Miracle Win Sends Goyang Sono Skygunners to Game 5

Goyang Sono Skygunners extended the championship series after earning its first victory on May 10 at Sajik Arena. After suffering three straight losses, this win felt almost miraculous for Sono and its fans.
This game was the fourth match of the championship series, and Goyang Sono had already lost three games to Busan KCC Egis. Early in the first quarter, KCC took the lead while Sono continued trying to catch up. However, with 2 minutes and 54 seconds remaining, Sono took a 16-17 lead. The first quarter eventually ended with Sono leading 16-24.
In the second quarter, Sono continued its strong performance and widened the gap to 16- 32. However, KCC did not give up and continued fighting back. The first half ended with Sono leading 35-47 by 12 points.
During the third quarter, Busan KCC tried to catch up. With 6 minutes and 24 seconds remaining, KCC cut the score to 47-50, closely trailing Sono. From then on, both teams continued exchanging points. Both teams attempted many three-point shots and gradually improved their shooting accuracy. KCC eventually took the lead at 63-61.
However, Sono quickly responded. Early in the fourth quarter, Sono regained the lead and extended it to seven points at 66-73 with 6 minutes and 58 seconds remaining in the game. Still, KCC refused to back down. With 2 minutes and 2 seconds remaining, Heo Hoon scored a layup, making the score 78-77. Then, with only 3.6 seconds left, KCC earned a foul and made one of two free throws to tie the game at 80-80.
However, Sono created a dramatic ending. Lee Jung-hyun attempted a shot that did not go in, but he successfully drew a foul. Lee made one of his two free throws, giving Sono an 80-81 victory and allowing the team to advance to Game 5.
Many fans expected Busan KCC to win Game 4 and become champions, but Goyang Sono and its supporters never gave up. KCC also showed strong determination to win from the very beginning of the game. This match was shaped not only by the players, but also by the coaches and passionate fans of both teams. Many fans are now wondering whether KCC will secure the championship in Game 5 or if Sono can continue its comeback and push the series to a seventh game.
