The Women's Korean Basketball League(WKBL) Championship Series will start on April 22. The two teams that progressed into the championship are Cheongju KB Stars and Yongin Samsung Life BlueMinx. In the regular season, KB Stars is in first place, and Samsung Life is in third place. Between the two teams KB Stars’s head-to-head record is superior to Samsung Life, which is 5 wins and 1 loss.

However, there is a big variable, which is Park Jisoo’s ankle injury. Park Ji Soo got injured during the weekend training session. She is the regular season MVP, which demonstrates her dominant performance on the court. Unfortunately, she can not be on the court in the first game of the series as her ankle has not fully recovered. This injury will affect KB Stars' total performance, while Samsung Life has a good opportunity to win the game. Moreover, it is uncertain whether Park Jisoo can be on the court in the second game.

KB Stars is aiming for its third combined championship, but her injury will make it a challenge for KB Stars to win the series. KB Stars head coach mentioned that Park Jisoo would appear on the court only if her ankle swelling goes down. He also stated that she has a strong will to participate in the game, but he wants to see her condition carefully, as they are not playing only a single game. He revealed his aspiration to trust his team and stay focused on the court. Park Ji Soo's return will change the flow of the series.
