Recently in South Korea, it was identified that Samsung and Hyundai are each in the 3rd and 16th places in the Asian Wealthy Families. This fact is gathering attention and momentum among citizens, as both businesses are two of the biggest contributors to the nation’s economic growth.

As of April 2025, Bloomberg had collected data with regard to individuals’ or businesses’ properties to determine the ‘Top 20 High-Rank Clans in Asia,’ with the standard of Billionaire Index (BBI). Two occupations on this international podium—which is proudly dominated by Korea—do not only augment the nation’s reputation but also signify that the businesses are exceptionally approved and noticed worldwide, with the technological advancements they have brought into modern life.

Again discussing the primary remark, Samsung, with its property of approximately 45.4 billion dollars, is placed in 3rd place. The business is internationally recognized for its electronic devices such as smartphones, pads, and laptops; they have introduced innumerable populations to the futuristic developments. Meanwhile, Hyundai—which owns about 21.7 billion dollars and is famous for vehicle manufacturing—is placed in 16th place.

In addition to that, Bloomberg mentioned that Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, is actively involved in AI and robotic businesses. His participation in the sector could actively boost the company, which fosters more revenue to be generated in the long run, especially as AI technologies become increasingly essential in various industries and consumer products.. If the AI business keeps integrating with Samsung, the business is more likely to own the potential to surpass the existing rank in the top clans in Asia.
