The KBO Golden Glove Awards were announced on December 9

On December 9, the Golden Glove ceremony was held at the Lotte Hotel World in Songpa. In the outfield category, Samsung Lions’ Koo Ja-wook, Lotte Giants’ Victor Reyes, and KT Wiz’s Ahn Hyun-min were selected. For the pitcher category, Hanwha Eagles’ Cody Ponce received the award thanks to his dominant performance throughout the season. Yeom Kyung-yeop of the LG Twins was selected for the Best Manager Award.


In the infield categories, LG Twins’ Shin Min-jae won the Golden Glove at second base, while Song Seong-moon won at third base. Lewin Díaz was selected at first base, and Kim Joo-won earned the award at shortstop. For the catcher position, Yang Eui-ji received the Golden Glove, and Choi Hyeong-woo was selected as the designated hitter. For the Fair Play Award, SSG Landers’ Noh Kyung-eun was honored.


Ahn Hyun-min earned two major awards this year, the Golden Glove and Rookie of the Year. Cody Ponce also won two awards the Golden Glove and the MVP highlighting his dominant season.
