Actress Nam Ji-hyun and Won-i from the girl group RESCENE have been chosen as the hosts for the first day of the 3rd Korea Grand Music Awards, also known as the 2026 KGMA.

According to the KGMA organizing committee, Nam Ji-hyun and Won-i will lead the ceremony on November 7, the first day of the event. The awards show will take place at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul, on November 7 and 8.

This will be Nam Ji-hyun’s third consecutive year hosting the KGMA, showing her steady presence at the event. With Won-i joining her this year, many fans are looking forward to seeing the chemistry between the two hosts.

The 2026 KGMA is expected to feature a wide range of artists who received strong support from fans in Korea and overseas throughout the year. The event will include performers from different genres, including K-pop, bands, and trot music. Last year, groups such as THE BOYZ, BOYNEXTDOOR, Stray Kids, IVE, ATEEZ, and ALLDAY PROJECT won the Grand Trophy, the highest honor of the ceremony.

Nam Ji-hyun, who made her debut in 2004, has continued to build a successful acting career through many different projects. Earlier this year, she gained attention once again for her role in the romantic comedy drama My Dearest Thief.

Won-i debuted in 2024 as a member of RESCENE. Recently, she has become popular through her personal YouTube channel, where she shows her honest and easygoing charm as a “Geoje girl.” Her growing popularity has also helped bring renewed attention to RESCENE’s past songs. The group is scheduled to release a digital single remake in July.

With Nam Ji-hyun’s experience and Won-i’s fresh energy, the first day of the 2026 KGMA is expected to be an exciting event for fans.
