Lee Yi-kyung Files Defamation Lawsuit Over Rumor Spread by Anonymous Woman

Korean actor Lee Yi-kyung announced that he has sued the person who revealed a private rumor about him for defamation.
He posted his statement on social media, saying that he could not share his opinion earlier due to his company’s request.
Because of this revelation, he left the popular Korean TV program What Do You Do When You Play? and lost his MC position.
The rumor came from a German woman, identified as A. She said, “I connected with Lee Yi-kyung last February. At first, I was happy to connect with a famous actor, but over time, his inappropriate comments made me uncomfortable, so I decided to reveal the situation.” She later added, “I feel sorry for Lee Yi-kyung. I made the problem bigger, and he seems to be having a very hard time. I regret revealing this and hope he lives well.”
However, Lee Yi-kyung stated, “I don’t know who A is, and I didn’t even know she existed. Every moment, I feel my anger boiling up. After the warrant is issued, the suspect will be identified soon. If she is in Germany, I will go there myself and continue suing.”
